Apprentices from Daimler learnt a painful history
On 1-3 April, the State Museum at Majdanek was visited by two apprentices from Daimler AG from Germany.
The purpose of their stay was to learn about the history of the former German Nazi concentration camp at Majdanek. During the visit, the educational offer of the Museum was also presented to Felicia Spanoudi and Sophie Moldenhauer. They also took part in a guided tour of the museum exhibition and educational workshops devoted to the diary written in the camp by the prisoner Jadwiga Ankiewicz. What is more, they got acquainted with the documents gathered in the museum archive, such as letters of the camp's crew to the family and correspondence of the former prisoner Wojciech Szczudło to his wife. Summing up their stay, they emphasized that this time was very valuable to them and allowed them to understand that freedom and peace are the most important goods.
