DESIGN COMPETITION OF THE PERMANENT EXHIBITION IN THE MUSEUM IN SOBIBÓR ADJUDICATED
Today, a public presentation of the winners of the design competition of the permanent exhibition at the Museum and Memorial Site in Sobibór. German Nazi death camp (1942–1943). Branch of the State Museum at Majdanek took place.
The competition jury presided by Piotr Lewicki awarded three monetary rewards.
The 1st reward of 15,000 zloty and invitation to single-source procurement procedure went to Jarosław Kłaput and Barbara Kłaput "Kłaput Project" s.c. z from Warsaw. The subject of the procedure will be a detailed draw up of the competition entry and project documentation.
The 2nd reward of 10,000 zloty went to Platige Image S.A. from Warsaw.
The 3rd reward of 5,000 zloty went to "Fabryka Dekoracji" Marcin Pietuch from Krakow.
The competition was organized with financial support by the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany. The exhibition scenario has been worked up by the staff of the State Museum at Majdanek. The new exhibition will present factual knowledge about the German death camp operating in Sobibór in 1942–1943 in broad historical context.
