Judges and Prosecutors from Europe visited the Museum
On May 21, the Museum hosted applicants, judges, and prosecuting attorneys from Italy, Greece, the Netherlands, Romania and Germany. Their visit was organised by the European Judical Training Network AIACOS in cooperation with the National Schools of Judiciary and Public Prosecution in Cracow and Lublin.
During their one-day study visit they learned the history of KL Lublin and took part in the workshop called „Perpetrators – ordinary people or fanatical murderers?”. Participation in the workshop was helpful in broadening their knowledge of certain motives behind ideologically motivated, racist and xenophobic crimes. The discussion on the subject of why ordinary people become mass murderers was focused on the past, but more topical issues including the character of modern society, hate speech leading to crime and modern racism were also considered.
