Touch the past
On Saturday, March 30, as part of the meeting titled ‘We have become numbers – outfit, marking and living conditions of Majdanek prisoners’ a large group of participants gathered around objects that are not always available to the museum audience.
The meeting took place as part of the series ‘Silent Witnesses of the History’ organized by employees of the Exhibits Department. Looking closely at clothes, shoes, or metal and linen numbers, participants learned about the ways of marking clothes, types of prisoner categories and conditions in which prisoners at Majdanek lived. Then the group along with the guide went to visit the site of the former camp. Thank you for your active participation in the meeting and great interest in the event.
The next meeting, the subject of which will be the punishments and harassment imposed on Majdanek prisoners, will take place on April 27. You will be able to participate after singing in on the website of the Lublin Season.
