On 6 May an expert group from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum paid a visit to the State Museum at Majdanek and the Museum and Memorial in Sobibór.

The task of the American-British team is to prepare a new permanent exhibition for the Museum in Washington. That is why during their visit we not only talked about the camps’ history, but also discussed various forms of conveying it to the visitors. In this context it was the frequently awarded exhibition at the Sobibór memorial that proved vital in this context. The assumptions and creation process of the museum and its exhibition were presented by the curator and director of the State Museum at Majdanek – dr Tomasz Kranz.
