The three days of Lublin Book Fair have passed quickly and were marked with many meaningful conversations about the importance of testimonies adjusted by professional historians. Those were the most popular books chosen by our readers. We presented such testimonies as carefully edited sources, freed from censorship, enriched with archival materials, previously unpublished photographs and documents, and a proper commentary provided by museum historians. The female survivors’ accounts such as those of Danuta Brzosko-Mędryk and Stefania Perzanowska attracted particular attention, while the younger readers often chose the Diary of Jadwiga Ankiewicz or the memoir of Jan Michalak. Many audience members were also interested in historical works that provide a general insight into the history of the German Nazi death camps and the topic of the Holocaust in occupied Poland. Our visitors praised the huge variety of books. We are grateful for the opportunity to present our work among the renowned publishing houses from Lublin and from all around the country.
