Spaces of the Holocaust – Majdanek, Bełżec, Sobibór

Prepared in Polish, English and German, this publication is addressed to those who wish to gain basic knowledge about the history of the concentration camp and the two extermination camps, and to present it to their students in an accessible and engaging way. The publication includes ready-to-use participatory workshop scenarios tailored to the age and sensitivity of young people. They enable educators to conduct classes efficiently, which may serve as preparation for a visit to the State Museum at Majdanek, the Museum and Memorial in Bełżec , and the Museum and Memorial in Sobibór. The book also contains concise historical overviews of Majdanek, Bełżec and Sobibór, enriched with relevant iconographic materials, as well as a bibliography. The publication was developed as part of the Young People Remember International project, funded by the EVZ Foundation and the German Federal Foreign Office.
