Heat Advisory for Visitors

In view of the forecast heat wave, we kindly encourage visitors to plan their visit carefully and ensure they are adequately prepared, including wearing light clothing, a hat or other head covering, and bringing sufficient drinking water.

Please be advised that the tour of the State Museum at Majdanek usually lasts about 2 hours, and is conducted primarily outdoors, on the former camp grounds, where shade is extremely limited.

Closure of the side entrances to the Museum

Starting on April 7, 2026, the entrances to the Museum from ul. Cmentarna and ul. Tetmajera will be closed.

Guided tours for individual visitors

Note: From 1 July to 28 August, guided tours for individual visitors will be available daily (except Mondays).

Please note that it is possible to visit the Majdanek Museum with a guided tour in Polish without prior reservation. Guided tours for individual visitors take place on Saturdays and Sundays at 11:00, and in July and August also at 14:15 and on other days of the week (except Mondays). This offer does not apply to organized groups.

20 PLN per person – reduced ticket

Explorewith a guide or on your own

Independently

The site of the former Majdanek concentration camp is shrouded in fog; the watchtowers and a prisoner barracks are visible.

If you want to explore the Museum grounds independently, you do not need to make any reservations. We encourage you to use our free visiting app, which will guide you through the area and provide you with a detailed history of the camp.


Guided Tour

A guide leading a group of people around the site of the former Majdanek concentration camp.

You can book a guided tour for a more personal experience. Guides are trained by the Museum and offer tours in various languages.
