On 25 October 2025, the State Museum at Majdanek hosted a methodological seminar for teachers entitled ‘The reliability of the Internet in history education. Pitfalls and opportunities’.

Ewa Wampuszyc from United States Holocaust Memorial Museum

The aim of the meeting was to reflect together on the opportunities and dangers that various online platforms create in teaching about the past. Fifty educators from all over Poland explored the topic by listening to presentations by experts: Prof. Rafał Wnuk, director of the Museum of the Second World War, and Dr Ewa Wampuszyc from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, who discussed the issue of source criticism and presented reliable websites for teaching about the Holocaust. The seminar culminated in participatory workshops, during which teachers independently analysed virtual content related to the history of KL Lublin. The final element of the meeting was an exchange of pedagogical experiences and a tour of the former concentration camp at Majdanek.
