Ordinary Women or Fanatical Killers?

They beat, kicked, insulted, harassed, murdered... The female overseers definitely stood out from other perpetrators at Majdanek. The 28 women who served at KL Lublin had different educational backgrounds, origins and motivations, but they all became part of the criminal camp system of the Third Reich.

Participants in the event heard how the camp guards were remembered by the prisoners, and learned about their pre-war lives and subsequent actions by the justice system.

Next, our guest Urszula Cur, a psychologist specialising in profiling criminals, attempted to outline the motives behind the perpetrators' actions.
